Ask for research where you already work
You already ask Claude, ChatGPT and Codex to draft plans, write copy and check numbers. Now you ask them to test the work on simulated customers too. Connect HumanPanel once, then write a request in plain words:
- “Ask 30 parents of toddlers in the US whether they would pay $12 a week for a kids’ meal kit, and why.”
- “Test these three headlines with small business owners in the UK. Which one wins, and with whom?”
- “Create an audience of 8 nurses in Texas and ask them what slows their shifts down.”
The assistant writes the survey, shows you the cost, starts the run once you agree and reads the results back in the chat. Every run also lands in your HumanPanel account, with each answer, reason and chart.
What your assistant does with HumanPanel
- Writes and saves surveys. Up to 20 questions for the audience you describe.
- Quotes the cost first. You see the most a run costs before anything starts.
- Runs the survey and reports back. A run takes a few minutes. The assistant follows the progress and returns answer shares overall and by world, themes, quotes and a written summary.
- Reuses your audiences. The assistant finds the audiences you already have, including the people of finished runs, and sends them a new survey. Two ideas tested on the same people make a fair comparison.
- Interviews people. Pick up to 20 people and ask follow-up questions. Each person answers in character and hears the others.
- Checks your wallet. Ask how much you have left at any point.
Behind this sit 16 tools on one server address: https://api.humanpanel.ai/mcp. The connection uses MCP, the Model Context Protocol, an open standard Claude, ChatGPT and Codex share for working with outside tools.
Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Name the connector HumanPanel and paste
https://api.humanpanel.ai/mcp. Select Add. - Select Connect. A HumanPanel page opens. Sign in with your email code and choose Allow.
- In a new chat, turn on HumanPanel in the tools menu and ask your first question.
On Claude’s Free plan you add one custom connector.
Connect Codex
In the terminal, add the server and sign in:
codex mcp add humanpanel --url https://api.humanpanel.ai/mcp
codex mcp login humanpanelThe second command opens the HumanPanel sign-in page. Choose Allow and go back to Codex.
In the ChatGPT desktop app or the Codex IDE extension, open Settings (the gear menu in the IDE), select MCP servers, then Add server. Name the server HumanPanel, choose Streamable HTTP, paste the address and select Authenticate.
Codex suits product teams. Test a pricing page or an onboarding message on simulated users while you build the feature, without leaving your editor.
Connect ChatGPT
We’re preparing a listing in the ChatGPT plugin directory. Until the listing goes live, connect through Developer mode:
- Open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and select +. Name the plugin HumanPanel, paste the address under Connection and select Create.
- Sign in to HumanPanel and choose Allow.
- Start a new chat, open the tools menu and turn on HumanPanel.
Developer mode depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.
You approve every charge
Runs, audiences and interview replies use your HumanPanel wallet at the same prices as the web app. Most runs cost $5 to $10.
- Before anything costs money, the assistant shows the maximum cost and asks you.
- You pay what the run costs, never more than the maximum. A failed or cancelled run costs nothing.
- When your balance falls short, the assistant tells you what the run needs and what you have, and confirms nothing was charged.
- A repeated request returns the first result, so a retry never charges you twice.
- You add funds on humanpanel.ai, never inside the assistant.
What HumanPanel sees
HumanPanel receives what the assistant sends to its tools: survey questions, audience descriptions and interview messages. HumanPanel never reads your chat history. You sign in on HumanPanel’s own page, so the assistant never sees your email code.
The ChatGPT & Claude page in your account lists every connected assistant. Disconnect one and access ends at once.
